landscape
Dartmoor is well known for the form of rocks that surround the land that is granite which is a rock that takes a very long time to cool down and crystallize and soon as it takes so long it has multiple different minerals inside the rock giving it the multiple different colours and textures.often in children's games they have a multiple numbers of shades of greys and blacks.

Dartmoor's vegetation
it is unique due to its "bottomless bogs" the have a array of mosses and some rare lichens and some cotton like grass.and many more forms of life

there are many types of games that I can use as inspiration for the game such as traditional children's games like arm wrestling ,blind man's bluff , I spy British bulldog  , rock paper scissors and stuck in the mud . i can use board games like happy hippos , guess who , game of life,  cluedo , chess  kerplunk  tumbling monkeys
and jenga

game ideas
a maze adventure game
this is a game idea that works of as you are a child that is spoilt and you were playing a simple traditional game with your family be the point on getting used to the controls like moving grabbing and initializing puzzles  where you will need to think what the puzzle is and how to solve it and you find your self lost on the moors after having a picnic with your family on a tor and your left behind .you need to adventure around the moors to find the way home and each location will have a different myth by the end you will be tired and be grateful
for the life that they  have and will wake up to being in a hospital with his parents by his bed.

colour

we had made a colour version of line drawings
this technique uses layer styles to create the textures and tones
in the end i chose some of the more simple looking ones so that it looks more like the actual cube
in this version i pretty much changed the shaded version of the cube changed the colours of the greys for similair colours to the original i kept some of the grey to show shadow and gaps between each square.

research drawings

Hellboy
the cover for Hellboy has an interesting look to it though  it is simple it makes Hellboy stand out being the only thing in colour
so it will attract attention the image is quite dark showing that death may occur. also the fact he has cigarette in his mouth shows that he isn't a nice person even if he is the protagonist
the skull in the background shows   that pain and death is in the story.they probably made this image by drawing it by had and refining the image in Photoshop or producing the full comic by hand they had more than likely drew the parts the was not black and the outlines and filed in the back ground black with photoshop.
                                 Conan the barbarian
this is the cover for Conan the barbarian which seems that it is
the protagonist on a ghost ship at night what seems like he is lost . and the skull in the background suggests that he will die.
they probable used liquefy tool and reducing the opacity on the skull  as well as to make the smoke you could paint the smoke with a soft brush tool and lowing opacity in layers.
the colours in the cover suggests death and pain by the lack of bright colours. as well as his face being emotionless this looks like it was hand drawn and edited slightly or drawn with a tablet .the lines are used to a minimum and shading is used to give majority or detail

colder
colder's cover is a rather grotesque image that uses a small amount of line in the drawing a lot of the detail is in the shading and colours the gruesome detail in the right  side of the face with the blood dripping down the face and hand this image the blood could have been made by using a dark red and lowering the opacity the rest of the image would have been hand designed and scanned the image into Photoshop and add the  colour and title . the images tones make it darker

shading

we did some shading with some of our line drawings
I didn't use a line drawing for this image however I did use a photographic reference to create it i had god a picture of the Rubik's cube and turned it grey and drew the outline then  I tried different layer effects to be able to give textures on to the cubes for example on the top left i used bevel and emboss as well as a inner shadow

on this shading I had used paint bucket on tones relatively close to the colours tone to the colour I prefer this
techniques of shading because it seems more realistic as well as  it giving a shadow. the techniques that I used earlier have a line that is too crisp with this image it has slight curves that help show that its a 3-D object

line drawings

today we did some line drawings we had to do 3 angles

this one is a line drawing that I produced on Photoshop using a graphics tablet. I drew it at an angle of a side view above the cube I chose this view so that I can show more than 1 face. I found it slightly difficult
the reason I found it difficult is because it is harder to do a straight line thatit seems
i also tried doing a line drawing in a more traditional way which is drawing it with pen and paper then scanning it in to the computer I found this more difficult than drawing it with the pen than with Photoshop
because it is more difficult to correct the errors

research in movements

The Cubist art movement began in Paris around 1907. Led by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, the Cubists broke from centuries of tradition in their painting by rejecting the single viewpoint. Instead they used an analytical system in which three-dimensional subjects were fragmented and redefined from several different points of view simultaneously.
The movement was conceived as 'a new way of representing the world', and assimilated outside influences, such as African art, as well as new theories on the nature of reality, such as Einstein's Theory of Relativity.
Cubism is often divided into two phases - the Analytic phase (1907-12), and the Synthetic phase (1913 through the 1920s). The initial phase attempted to show objects as the mind, not the eye, perceives them.
The Synthetic phase featured works that were composed of fewer and simpler forms, in brighter colours. Other major exponents of Cubism included Robert Delaunay, Francis Picabia, Jean Metzinger, Marcel Duchamp and Fernand Léger.

to summarize cubism: there are often 3 views in 1 image because they analyse an image in 3 views for example Picasso could have created this image from using a model then drawing her in 3 different view points and rearranging them to create 1 image from the 3 view points and then added colour and texture and produced this as a final piece

This is a 3d sculpture influencd by picassos Guernica as you can see the images created by cubism can be made into 3d sculptures

image_#0
as you can see the sculptor had done a 3d version of guernicas horse but then they added a hint of colour to the side of the mouth . this relate to cubism by the horses teeth the arent out side the mouth however in different angles it might seem so same with the nose and also the way how they curve in where as the teeth curves out.
Collaboration of Loic Sattler and Sebastian Onufszak

This is a modern day piece of cubism I think that this is a good example of this because you can see multiple dimensions and the heads of the person keeps on changing to make it seem like its a rotating head. and at the mouth/moustache it used an angle of when the mouth is open and closed

The next cubist ill research is Piet Mondrian

this classes as cubism even though it is a flat image due to squares and rectangles being a 2d any so the views wont be changed however the lines can be brought into 3 dimensions therefore it can be changed into a sculpture at the same time I know that If the lines did change the dimensions i know that the squares and rectangles change to cubes and cuboid this is the historic version it was made before 1944 this piece is effective by the way how the analysis that is made when this is attempted to turn into a sculpture there is a range of ways you can see from behind.
this a modern structured version but it also seems to be a room rather than a sculpture the differences between the two of them are that the lines seem to be carved rather than just being pained that gives more texture to the piece and the blocks don't seem to fill the blocks and the simplicity to this is so simple that it seems to have a huge impact to the overall piece in the transformation.
to prove that mondrians teqnique is so simple i made a picture in his style in 5 minutes
as you can see it is simple and easy all you need is rectangle tool and fill bucket .

next art movement ill research is romanticism
Romanticism was basically a reaction against Neoclassicism, it is a deeply-felt style which is individualistic, beautiful, exotic, and emotionally wrought.
Although Romanticism and Neoclassicism were philosophically opposed, they were the dominant European styles for generations, and many artists were affected to a greater or lesser degree by both. Artists might work in both styles at different times or even mix the styles, creating an intellectually Romantic work using a Neoclassical visual style, for example.
Great artists closely associated with Romanticism include J.M.W. Turner, Caspar David Friedrich, John Constable, and William Blake.
In the United States, the leading Romantic movement was the Hudson River School of dramatic landscape painting.
Obvious successors of Romanticism include the Pre-Raphaelite movement and the Symbolists. But Impressionism, and through it almost all of 20th century art, is also firmly rooted in the Romantic tradition.
